About Us

South Lane Mental Health is deeply rooted in the Cottage Grove community, with a rich history of caring and concern.

The agency was started in 1988 by a group of members from Cottage Grove’s First Presbyterian Church responding to a need for locally provided mental health services.

Since then, the non-profit has grown from 5 employees assisting 50 people annually to 70 staff members last year helping 1,500 Cottage Grove area adults and children.

The agency works closely with community partners to ensure efficient and effective service to clients.

Our Mission

Restore hope and renew lives though compassionate mental health services, support, and advocacy.

Our Philosophy

South Lane Mental Health is guided by the principle that no one seeking assistance will be turned away and an enduring commitment by the agency’s board and staff to provide individualized services with compassion and respect.
